MUSIC

I’ve been playing the Bach Sonatas & Partitas for Solo Violin since 2014, ultimately to release the complete set.

I wrote this as a reaction to hearing Julian Lage’s World’s Fair recording which is beautiful in concept and execution, brilliant writing for solo guitar…played on my 1941 Martin 0018.

One of the solo pieces I wrote for a collection for Liquid Cinema, my publisher of library music. This features my 1946 Gibson J45.

I met cellist Joshua Roman through my good friend, MacArthur Award winning violinist & activist Vijay Gupta. Vijay called to ask if I’d get together with Joshua to play a concert at the Midnight Mission in downtown LA the next day. I brought along a steel string Bourgeois dreadnought to play this Saint-Saens piece and Joshua insisted we record it the next time he was in town.
